Here are Heartfelt messages from people on social media:

Very sad news… I heard today of the passing of two firefighters from New Alexandria fire department. My condolences go out to their entire department and their families.

Brian Sterrett was one of these men and I am shocked. I just talked to him as he stopped at our fire hall to buy tickets from me and we talked about the new camp he just bought near Laurel Mountain ski resort.

Brian and I trained together on several water and ice rescue classes and served side by side together on our Westmoreland County Team 211 Rough Terrain Fire & Rescue ( Support Unit ). Brian was a great guy and will be surely missed. Again my condolences to both of these men’s families in their time of sorrow. RIP
