A Gofundme account was created to support Jeff Giosi, which reads:

On January 23, 2021,  the world lost Jeff Giosi, one of the most passionate, loving, determined, loyal, inspiring, and energetic humans ever to live.  Jeff loved his wife Sarah and their two boys Arlen (3) and Mackie (1) with his whole heart.  His faith in God was unshakable, and we can find peace knowing that he is at home in heaven with Christ our Warrior King.

In his short but full 40 years, Jeff made more of an impact than most people do in a lifetime.  His passion for community, brotherhood, health, and all things “epic” was a beacon of positivity and hope to all who met him.  He was the epitome of a life lived to the full, and he left nothing on the field. Jeff fought a great fight; he ran a great race; he kept the faith.

Because of Jeff’s great love for all of us, his family and friends are asking that you please consider helping Sarah and the boys, ensuring that Jeff’s legacy endures for many generations.  There are three main ways to help:

MEMORIES – Thankfully, Jeff documented his life very well!  Nothing would make Jeff happier than for his boys to know exactly the man he was, what he stood for, and to hear about all the lives their dad impacted. If you have memories of Jeff, please send your stories, pictures, videos, etc. to giosistories at gmail.com

FINANCIAL HELP – Sadly, no life insurance was in place.  Sarah is comfortable with this being shared in hopes that others would be reminded to please plan for unexpected tragedy.  All donations are greatly appreciated, and if we all pitch in, we can eliminate the financial burden for Sarah.  Please know that all funds will be handled with responsible stewardship.  If there are excess donations above funeral costs and immediate living expenses, 529 accounts will be set up for the boys, and a trust established for their benefit.  If you have any questions or would like to help in other ways, please contact Kent McBride at 304-685-1909 or kmcbride at mmsendo.com.

LIVE HIS EXAMPLE –  Amor fati is a Latin phrase that may be translated as, “love of one’s fate.” Jeff believed Amor fati, that everything, including suffering and loss, is good or, at the very least, necessary. Jeff trusted that God’s plan is sovereign, and He shapes us in every circumstance we face.  Without a doubt, Jeff would want us to embrace God’s trajectory of our own lives and be a beacon of all that is good in the world.

Jeff lived life to the full and loved his family, his friends, and everyone he met with reckless abandon – let’s go do the same.

Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers are with his family.

We encourage you all to respect the dead and accord the heartbroken family, mourning the loss of a cherished one, some privacy as you leave a message or prayer in the comment session.
