Our beloved Lexi Harris was hit and killed by a vehicle while she stopped to help a crashed motorist on I-5 through Seattle while off-duty.

Seattle Police officer who was hit and killed by vehicle while she stopped to help crashed motorist on I-5 through Seattle while off-duty Saturday night, has been officially identified as 38-Year-Old SPD Officer Lexi Harris.
She had been with the department for just 5 years.
Please say a prayer for her family, her friends and those she was close with at SPD and in the law enforcement community.

We send our condolences to the family and friends of Officer Alexandra “Lexi” Harris and the Seattle Police Department (WA) for her loss. Officer Harris had just finished her shift and was in her way home in her personal vehicle when she came upon a multi-vehicle crash. She stopped and got out to help and was tragically struck and killed by another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle remained on scene.
One of the drivers from the original crash stole Officer Harris’ personal vehicle and fled the scene. The vehicle was later located abandoned. We hope that subject is quickly caught. Officer Harris was 38 years old and a 5 year veteran of the department. She gave her life trying to help people even when she was off duty. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and the SPD during this difficult time and we thank her for her service. Rip. 🖤💙🖤
