Our son, Cade Gebbers, went to be with the Lord on March 17th, 2021. He was the light our lives. We are devastated, broken and miss him so much. As we try to pick up the pieces please pray for my family. Please pray for our youth, and hug your kids every chance you get. I love you Cade. You were something to behold.
The Brewster Bear Family lost one its very own yesterday. Cade Gebbers will forever be remembered as a loving son, great friend and wonderful teammate. He brought so much life, joy and charisma to those that knew him on and off the court. He will be sorely missed and our hearts are broken. Prayers for their family and our community are greatly appreciated.
My oldest asked me if she could share her thoughts about the loss of her cousin (age 19) on her Instagram page and I said yes. Here are her own words and pictures she chose. She is a very strong and caring girl who is wise beyond her years at 13. In her words are so many lessons we can all learn from and use every day in life. I love you Dakota and our Gebbers family.
Cade…. I am gonna miss you. Bones break and heal so do hearts. I can’t imagine basketball with out you but I realize that you are gonna be in my ear when I make a three pointer and when I make a game winning shot.
I put your name on my basketball shoes to motivate me. I can’t wait to tell all my kids about you Cade. The first picture means so much to me. I am gonna miss you so much. Say Hi to Grandma Danna and Grandpa Danny up in Heaven for me please.
