A unique soul with a great personality has an amazing sense of humor, diligent and caring.

He always brought light to every room entered. And will be dearly missed by family, friends, and everyone.

Our beloved Cedrick Harris jr has tragically passed away due to sustained head injuries from an AIV Accident that happen on the 16th March 2021. His bother, Marie Ferdinand-Harris was also involved in the accident.

Cedrick Harris’s obituary is not public at the time, we will share more as we learn about the obituary and possibly the funeral.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to mourn the passing of Cedrick Harris.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce that our son C.J. Harris gained his angel wings and is on his way to HEAVEN. CJ fought a very hard fight all the way up until Marie and I watched him take his final breath, but the ball was dropped by the neurology team on so many levels in regards to the care and attention he received even after repeated demands to get scans and tests that could have caught the issue, preventing it from worsening after receiving a very optimistic initial evaluation that he would make a full recovery.

We are determined to fight for our kid the way he was fighting for all of us who love him so much and to make sure that other families don’t have to experience this gut wrenching pain.

Most know CJ as a talented athlete, but he is most known in our family not as an athlete, but as a kindhearted, respectful, tough minded difference maker, who impacted lives and made this world a better place. As his parents, we are most proud of how he always made himself available to the “unpopular” kids so that they felt like they belonged. To all of CJ’s teammates, friends, and classmates, hang in there and keep his name lifted.

Since he was a kid he would always tell me “Dad, I want them to remember my name”. Well son, you did a great job here on this earth and they do remember your name. We are so proud of you for all that you’ve done and the impact you had on others.

We know that his calling is greater than anything that he could have ever accomplished here on earth. Thank you all in advance for your prayers, love, privacy, and unwavering support for our son and family during this very difficult time. #BeLikeCJ 💙😇🕊🙏💪

Life isn’t fair sometimes….please say a prayer for the family of Cedrick Harris Jr. as he passed away from an accident. His father played baseball at LSU. He had a bright future ahead of him, worked tremendously hard to reach his goals- 14 years old. You made an impact buddy.

Please help my friends and LSU greats, Cedrick Harris and Marie Ferdinand-Harris through a challenging time. Two of their boys were involved in a UTV accident a few days ago. God is GREAT and will see that they recover fully, but I’m asking for prayers. Vicki Mathews has graciously set up a GoFundme page that I’m attaching if you’d like to donate.

A Gofundme account was earlier created to support him with paying hospital bills before he finally passed, which reads:

• Yesterday CJ took a turn for the worse regarding his head injuries. He remains in ICU at Children’s hospital. Please pray for this sweet young man to be healed.

  On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you ALL for your prayers, love, and donations. We are truly grateful to have such great people in our lives. Dontay is home recovering from a broken leg and facial injuries, while CJ is still at Arkansas Children’s Hospital recovering from his head and bodily injuries. He suffered a fractured skull, concussion, bruised lungs, bruised ribs, and lacerations to his hands. His progress is slow, but it is progress and we will take it one day at a time. Despite the difficult time we are experiencing, we still feel BLESSED

Though our words can do little, we hope our thoughts and prayers will encourage you this period and always as you mourn, the passing soul.
