Please pray for our pastor’s wife and his three little children as they navigate the sudden death of pastor Danny Duran of life church. He was an amazing father and husband to his wife, Emily and an incredible , passionate, full of life, man of God ! We are praying for his family & his three little children.. for God’s strength and His healing hands on their hearts. Well done, good & faithful servant. At 41 years of age, his work was done. We will miss you & your passionate heart for the Lord, Danny. You are loved beyond measure!

 

Sitting in my office working and listening to my son sing songs while laying in bed. My daughter was super excited to show me her new band for her Apple Watch that she just got for her birthday. These moments on any other day would seem trivial or passing. But today I am so thankful for them. The passing of our incredible and loving Life.Church OP Campus Pastor, Danny Duran, is really rocking me to my core.

I wasn’t nearly as close to him as so many who have worked closely with him and done life with him and his family over the years…but he was my pastor. He was a strong man of God. He wore Jesus like a breastplate of armor upon his chest. He loved first and asked questions later. He was just a couple years older than me.

Rededicating his life to his health so he could spend years and years with his kids. He is me. His shocking and sudden death is drilling a point deeply within me that I’ve always known but needed reminding: Life is fleeting and life is a gift. The moments that seem meaningless could be your last and can’t be taken for granted.

I will miss Pastor Danny’s smile, energy, passion for Jesus, and love of life. I’ll miss his pats on the back and handshakes and “So great to see you today”s. He was a wonderful pastor and man. Our church will survive. It will go on. But it will not be the same.
I thank God for the time I’ve known him and been led and inspired by him. I thank God for the church he led and the way he led my family.

I lift him and his sweet family up in prayer…that they feel loved and comforted. Lord guide us through this time. Give strength and discernment to our leadership to help them navigate this incredibly difficult and uncertain time. We love you. We thank you for your goodness. We thank you for welcoming your devoted servant into your presence.

Though our words can do little, we hope our thoughts and prayers will encourage you this period and always as you mourn, the passing soul.

May you find comfort knowing that life continues forever in heaven even as the memories shared live forever in our hearts.
