We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of our dear friend Denis Lynn. Our thoughts are with his wife Christine and daughters Kerry, Clare, Tara and Ciara at this difficult time.

Denis was an incredible innovator who delivered positive change in the world and this spanned well beyond his extraordinary business achievements. His unstinting kindness, his work for charity and most of all his friendship have been an inspiration to us and he will be a massive loss.

Denis’ advice to other companies was “Be honest and passionate about what you’re doing, then it’ll be fun”. For this and so many other reasons, he was always tremendous fun and he will be hugely missed.

Very saddened to hear of the sudden death of Denis Lynn, who was tragically killed yesterday in a quad bike accident. Denis was the founder and chairman of Finnebrogue Venison and Finnebrogue Artisan in Co Down.

I met Denis on a number of occasions and had many dealings with him in my time as a chef and he was a consummate gentleman. He was a true entrepreneur and a trailblazer in the Irish food industry. He was also a wonderful advocate and champion of the Right to Food for all children and their families in Northern Ireland, that was something he was very passionate about and something we often spoke about.

My deepest sympathies to all his family at this very sad time. May his gentle soul forever rest in eternal peace.

Though our words can do little, we hope our thoughts and prayers will encourage you this period and always as you mourn, the passing soul.

May you find comfort knowing that life continues forever in heaven even as the memories shared live forever in our hearts.
