In the loving memory of Fred Kalisz, we are saddened to inform that Fred Kalisz, a beloved one and loyal friend, passed away January 2021 due to complications from CoVid -19.
A unique soul with a great personality has an amazing sense of humour, diligent and caring.
He always brought light to every room entered. And will be dearly missed by family, friends and everyone.

All of us at Whaling City Youth Baseball are devastated this morning to hear of the passing of former Mayor Frederick Kalisz. Fred was a former Coach in our league, a great mentor to the kids he coached, a fantastic friend, and just a wonderful human being. There are simply no words to describe the loss that we are feeling. Please keep his wife Pat, son Ricky and the entire Kalisz family in your thoughts and prayers today.

Tonight the sky will shine a little brighter with this star. A friend for 36 years, one of my Junior Achievement/NAJAC buddies Fred Kalisz passed away from complications of Covid. We called him Radar because he always knew what question you were going to ask and lived the Jesuit motto “Men and Women for Others.” May he RIP and may we all get through this grief.
From my 1st year in law school to serving with me on the Board at The Greater New Bedford Community Health Center, Former Mayor Fred Kalisz Jr. was a mentor and supporter of all things to make New Bedford a better place. I will miss his advice, his smile and continue in honor of his memory. Rest in Peace 🙏
