Here are Heartfelt messages from people on social media:

I have been searching for the words all day to share about my friend James Palumbo. He and my brother became good friends at their time at IHS and he was in many ways another little brother to me. Watching him grow as a young man to adulthood, cheering him on along the way, sharing a lot of laughs together. Jimmy was always a little goofy and could make you laugh. He had a big heart and always wanted good things for the people he loved. We called each other the “king” and “queen” of tailgating because when we went to an event, whether it be a concert or a football game, we always wanted to make it a great time for our friends, it was our thing.

He was a truly thoughtful person. I would get messages “hey sis, I’m sure you already know but DMB will be on…xyz.” Or any holiday my first message when I would wake up to “hey sis…merry/happy xyz, tell the family I love them”.

Well my brother we love you too!
I know you have been reunited with your mother, and that your body is not suffering anymore.

Thank you for your friendship, you are loved and missed ❤️
Rest In Peace my friend. Until we meet again.

I still can’t believe this is real. James Palumbo you were one of the best people I have ever met in my life. I considered you as not only a great friend but another brother. Even though we were not blood you are still a family member to me and my entire family. It has not sunk in yet that you are no longer with us and I really can’t express what you meant to me and my entire family in words. I will always love you and miss you, RIP.

Though our words can do little, we hope our thoughts and prayers will encourage you this period and always as you mourn, the passing soul.

May you find comfort knowing that life continues forever in heaven even as the memories shared live forever in our hearts.
