A Gofundme account was created to support Joanna Baxter Lerner, which reads:

On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Joanna (Baxter) Lerner, unexpectedly passed away during the births of her beloved twin daughters.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She was born on September 22, 1977 to Wilfred and Malvena Baxter. She met her husband, Jeremy Lerner, at University, and they married on October 5, 2014, settling in Raymond, NH. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and joined her dream veterinary practice, Hampstead Animal Hospital.

She loved her daughters, Sadie Victoria and Rhea Grace, with all her heart. She now watches over them with her beloved brother, Steve, who passed away in 2007.

Joanna was brilliant, beautiful, and her life touched innumerous people around her. Her care extended from her family and friends, to her clients, patients and extended family. An intellectual, she loved to analyze. Combined with her compassion and commitment to high quality medicine, this made her the perfect doctor. She was highly respected and admired by those around her. Already very close with her daughters when her life was tragically cut short, Jo had been excited about sharing her world with them.

Her passions included reading, knitting, crocheting, music, art, film and nature. She was an avid dog trainer, and shared her life with some incredible furry souls. Some she has now joined and watches them for us, along with her brother Steve, others will join her when it is their time.

Funds are being raised to help with funeral expenses and to help Joanna’s grieving husband during the very difficult days, weeks and months to come. There is no paid paternity leave in our country. All funds raised will go directly to Jeremy, so that he can focus on caring for their beautiful twin daughters.

Though our words can do little, we hope our thoughts and prayers will encourage you this period and always as you mourn, the passing soul.

May you find comfort knowing that life continues forever in heaven even as the memories shared live forever in our hearts.

Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers are with the family and friends.

We encourage you all to respect the dead and accord the family heartbroken with the loss of a cherished one, some privacy as you leave a message in the comment session.
