It is with great sadness that the SABLA Board writes this post today. One of our beloved coaches and board members passed away this weekend. Mark Cornes was a coach for the B and C levels for the past 3 years, as well as served as our SEYPLA representative, and his absence will be felt on and off the field.
Mark was a fierce competitor who loved the game of lacrosse, but more importantly, he loved our players and coaches. His son Logan plays for the B1 squad, and although Mark was not an official B coach this year because he coached the Souderton High School team to the playoffs, he was on the sideline Thursday night with the coaches to support our boys one last time as they won a huge game. That game now takes on meaning that we could never have imagined, and we will continue into the playoffs in his honor, as we truly believe he would’ve wanted.
Please keep his wife Molly, daughter Hannah, and son Logan, as well as the entire Cornes family in your thoughts and prayers this week.
It is with a truly heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Mark Cornes (Business Executive). Mark passed away unexpectedly last Friday, May 21st, 2021.
Mark was a member of our sales team, working out of Lansdale, PA. He had been a valued member of our team since April 2019, and a huge part of making OpenSource Technologies Inc. successful these past few years. He made easy, meaningful connections with his coworkers, and made jokes to brighten everyone’s day. His presence made the office a warmer place, and his candor made us all better at our jobs. We will miss him dearly.
