Last night I was out playing pool and seem to lose focus as I learned one of my own fellow brothers in blue Scott Triplett was hit by a car while serving his duty on the MPD Motors Unit during an escort. He was fighting for his life and learned this morning early that he did not make it.
Most of my new brothers in blue in NC obliviously did not know this guy. He and his wife Fran fought tirelessly over MPD benefits for officers. I knew Scotty well but not as well as his fellow Motors Unit. It was a close group of guys. My heart goes out to those guys, all who knew his kindness and support for fellow officers and lastly for Fran and the rest of the family.
RIP Triplett, your watch is over brother!!
