Our beloved Volier Maffie Johnson well-known Jamaican actor has sadly passed away unexpectedly on the 9th July 2021, after suffering from a heart attack.
Johnson was super talented, creative, very proficient and had been involved in theater for more than 50 years.
Volier Johnson obituary is not public at the time, we will share more as we learn about the obituary and possibly the funeral.

This morning, I mourn with all Jamaicans as we heard the news of the passing of our very own legendary actor, Volier Johnson.
Johnson played a significant role in Jamaica’s theatre community for more than 50 years and has added significant value to our culture.
I extend deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, and to the many people who loved and supported him, both in Jamaica and around the world.
A great comedian has passed. Volier Johnson. Most of you know him as Maffie. He and Oliver gave us some real good laughter over the years. I’ve had the privilege of working with Maffie on four different occasions and I can tell you, behind the scenes, he is one humble, caring being who got along with everyone.
I understand his passing was sudden. I have not spoken to Oliver as yet but I can imagine that his heart is broken today. His brother, his colleague and friend, for perhaps over 40 years.
Maffie, the angels will now have their turn of laughter. May your soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
