A unique soul with a great personality has an amazing sense of humor, diligent and caring.

He always brought light to every room entered. And will be dearly missed by family, friends, and everyone.

Robert Shook Cause Of Death: Obituary

Our beloved Robert Shook, 38 has tragically passed away unexpectedly after he succumbed to injuries sustained from been shot.

He was identified by family earlier this week as one of two HVAC technicians who were at the home of Dr. Robert Lesslie when former NFL player Phillip Adams shot them in the driveway before entering the house and opening fire on Lesslie and his family.

Also was the only survivor as the Sixth Victim of the South Carolina Shooting that happened on Wednesday, but has passed away.

Robert Shook’s obituary is not public at the time, we will share more as we learn about the obituary and possibly the funeral.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to mourn the passing of Robert Shook.

#BREAKING: Not the news we wanted. The family of Robert Shook tells me he died earlier this evening. This is the 6th person to die in the mass shooting from Wednesday in York County.
“Thursday night he was stable and we were feeling more hope,” his cousin Heather Thompson said. “But he was shot six times, so we knew it’d be touch-and-go. By Friday it was rough again.

He died with his family nearby, around Saturday at 4pm.”
Robert and his wife Holly lived in Cherryville with their three children. Eli is 7-years old, Johnnie is 13, and their oldest child is 18-year-old Keleigh. She’s set to graduate from Cherryville High School this spring.

“I thought we might have a miracle,” Heather said.
“Turns out that not what happened. But the entire Shook family wants to thank everyone. We have felt immense love and prayers from around the world. Thank you. We feel the support, even though this is not the result we wanted.”

Both Robert and his work partner, James Lewis, worked for GSM Services in Gastonia. They were at the Rock Hill home of Dr. Robert Lesslie and his wife Barbara to check their A/C unit. Deputies say former NFL player Phillip Adams approached the home, saw the two heating and air technicians, shot them, then went inside the house and killed the couple and their two grandchildren, ages 9 and 5. With the exception of Robert, everyone shot died on scene.

He’d been rush flown to the hospital as the sole survivor.

An awful update regarding the Rock Hill, South Carolina mass shooting. The sixth victim had died. GSM Services out of Gastonia confirms the second HVAC technician has died. Their statement:

4/9/2021 – Robert has been a long-time devoted technician here at GSM Services. He is currently in the hospital fighting for his life after the tragic incident that occurred in York, SC on Wednesday April 8th, 2021.  We have created this page to raise money for his family.  Robert has a wife, Holly.  He also has three children that are his world.
